UnSCRIPTed is a more intentional space for conversation around life, relationships, and spirituality. This group is designed for honest sharing, real listening, and the kind of support that builds over time - non-judging, compassionate, and without an agenda. We are purposedly protecting this time to step away from church business and focus entirely on building relationships and encouraging one another.
This will be a safe, uplifting time to share favorite Scriptures, songs, inspirational thoughts, etc., to nourish us spiritually and emotionally. It will be a laid-back, community-led environment, and everyone (community or church) is welcome including our pastor, who is invited to just hang out and be a part of the fellowship.
We will start with an inspirational short reading - perhaps from a book called “Belonging” by Melanie Dobson, Ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church. However, the beginning may be from Scripture and any other reading that the leader (different every time) selects. But the time will then branch out to sharings from those present.
Dates of get-togethers will be announced here, as well as through emails for whoever requests to be on email list, and Facebook/Instagram. They may be rather impromptu as requested by anyone who needs a time like this.

Great Decisions
"Great Decisions,” Foreign Policy Association (FPA) program is again given at United Methodist Church of Anacortes, as has been for more than a decade.
This course is America's longest standing and largest non-partisan civic global affairs discussion program. It offers a comprehensive approach to understanding complex international issues, making it a valuable resource for anyone interested in global affairs and U.S. foreign policy.
Class is offered each spring and fill up quickly. So watch for upcoming details.
Previous Book Studies
May/June 2026: This book is an invitation to walk with Jesus on his final day. To sit beside him at the Last Supper and Pray with him in Gethsemane. We follow him to the cross, desert him, and deny him. Finally, we wonder at the resurrection together.
February 2026: Discussing the book “Forgiveness” by Adam Hamilton.
